​The Barrel-Aged Maple Bourbon Syrup is the bestseller here at Maple Lifestyle. That’s why I decided to fill five (!) Kentucky Bourbon barrels with maple syrup this year. My cousin Martin, who produces the amazing, 100% natural Canadian maple syrup, had a record season in the spring of 2017. While producers in other regions struggled with the climate (it was simply too warm!), the conditions in Auclair, Québec, were just perfect for syrup-making: a lot of snow, below 0 degrees during the night and just above 0 during the day. Man, did that sap ever flow, and according to the experts with over 20 years experience in Québec, it is one of the best-tasting syrups they ever made.

The Bourbon Maple Syrup is aging in the barrels right now and will be bottled just in time for the Christmas season.

It will be another handcrafted batch that makes an amazing gift for family, friends and business partners. 

Award-winning National Food Editor Rita DeMontis wrote a story titled “MEMORABLE MAPLE SYRUP”. It was inspired by the press release we had sent out earlier this month and a tasting sample we shipped to the editor’s office in downtown Toronto.
