The Maple Maniac
I'm Jean-Pierre, the owner of Maple Lifestyle. My Mother comes from Auclair, a small village in the Témiscouata county, just a few hours east of Quebec City. This is where the world's best maple syrup and maple products come from. Period.
When I was a young man, I moved to Europe. Maple syrup exile! I eagerly awaited parcels from my family who would send me a survival portion of the "liquid gold". In 2012, I ended my exile and returned to Canada after spending 15 wonderful years in Germany and Austria. As I lived there, my job permitted me to travel on all continents, discovering other cultures and savouring their cuisine.
A visit to Auclair in summer of 2014 made it crystal clear to me: this region bears a treasure that is just too tasty not to share with the rest of the world!
Let me take you on a journey. Let's create wonderful dishes together! From the traditional maple syrup pancakes to international cuisine.
