What happens, if you are labelling a ton of maple syrup and have quite a few spare boxes standing around? Exactly, you build a cat castle! This certainly was another successful family project and is our contribution to spam the web with even more cat content. After all, we love cats (we have two!), and we love to see them play. We took a European-style approach to our castle and cut out proper roof shingles from sturdy construction paper in hot pink and orange with golden accents. It took a few boxes, a lot of hot glue, gorilla tape and water colour to set up the base structure. We cut out “doors” and “windows” and added all these jolly toys - including an origami crane that is happily dangling from a pencil on the “first floor”. Archie, our white and red crazy dude, was the one that explored, conquered, and tried to take apart the cat castle first. Sunshine, our long haired tabby princess (Attitude: “Don’t talk to me! And DON’T touch me!”) was the second one to explore. She was quite please with the “bedrooms”. Altogether, it was a great creative project for all two- and four-legged friends involved!
